ITINERARY

Day 1 – Arrive & Settle in
- Arrive in Liberia
- Transfer to Tamarindo via shuttle (1.5-2HRS)
- Arrive at accommodation in Tamarindo & settle in
- Acclimate to area - see resources below for local grocery & ATM/bank
- Enjoy the sunset on Tamarindo Beach
- Dinner at Jardin Tamarindo Food Truck Park
Day 2
- Catch the sunrise on Tamarindo Beach
- Breakfast at Waffle Monkey
- Head to Tama Farmers Market (Saturdays 8am-2pm) for local food, crafts & souvenirs
- Hike to Playa Langosta (follow apple maps)
- Stop for lunch on your way back @ Pandeli Tamarindo
- Do some shopping on Calle Central, Calle Cardinal, Avenida Central
- Finish with dinner of your choice at El Mercadito de Tamarindo
Day 3
- Surf lesson @ Club 33 (discounted price for guests at the Backside House)
- Rent a beach chair & umbrella from a local for $20USD/chair/day. Look for an independent person with chairs rather than a resort/hotel. (I found them on the beach to the right of Tabu Tamarindo if you're facing the water.)
- Horseback riding on the beach (no need to book ahead! You will see horses walking on the beach throughout the day, just wave your hand if interested!)
- Watch a free live flame throwing show with dinner @ Tama Onda Beachfront Restaurant
Day 4
- Catamaran Day Tour w/food & drinks, snorkeling, paddleboarding & wildlife sitings (book through viator, Club 33 if a guest, or the business card provided below)
- Explore Tamarindo's Moonlight Market for live entertainment & local hand-crafted products (Thursdays 6-9pm)
Day 5
- Spot monkeys, birds, crocodiles & other wildlife on the Estuary Boat Safari through the Tropical Mangroves ($35USD/pp if staying/booking through Club 33)
- Lunch or a fresh smoothie @ Tabu
- One last walk on the beach
- Shuttle transfer to Liberia Airport

- Listed are tours that include hotel pick up/drop off
- Independent activities/restaurants are within walking distance of Tamarindo
- Most accommodations will have activity & transportation recommendations as well
- Apple/Google Maps work great
- Visit a "Soda", a local family-owned restaurant, for an affordable and traditional meal
